Yoga Asnas, Yoga Poses

Yoga is basically meant for Asnas or Poses. Any posture you are attaining or breathing in a disciplined manner is referred to as Asna in the Hindi language and Posture or Pose in the English language.

Sukhasana (Easy Pose)
Just sit with your legs folded and hands placed on the knees with a straight backbone in the most comfortable posture. Some expert practitioners place their ankles on their thighs to experience the stretch of feet muscles with a more straightened backbone. Others who find it difficult, just place their feet on the floor and sit in a basic posture.

EASY POSE (SUKHASANA)



Boat Pose
It is called Naukasna in traditional Indian Yoga. You need to make the shape of the boat by lifting your legs in the air while sitting. Then pull your hands towards to feet. The belly and leg muscles would be stretched. Try to keep your chest and neck straight.

Extra fat on the belly is reduced.
Strengthens lower back area.
BOAT POSE (NAUKASANA)
Dhanurasana (Bow Pose)
Dhanurasna is a popular yoga posture that is often used to improve posture, tone the abdomen, and strengthen the core muscles. It is believed to have originated in India, and is now commonly practiced around the world. The name comes from the Sanskrit words meaning “bow” and “pose.” During the practice, the practitioner lies on the stomach and uses the arms and legs to form a bow shape.

It is also said to help improve posture, strengthen the spine and core, and reduce stress.
